2025 Fall Campout Details
Hey Scout Families!
Our fall campout is right around the corner! While it’s a short trip, there’s still plenty to keep track of, pack, and prepare for. Keep reading for all the info you need to get you ready to enjoy the weekend. If you still have questions after reading what’s here, shoot Trey (270.991.6976) or Brandon (502-494-7442) a text to ask
Directions - We’re camping at Camp Crooked Creek in Shepherdsville, KY (950 Terry Drive, 40165). It’s about a 40 minute drive from the church we have our meetings at. Once you enter the campground, you can follow the signs to the administration building lot. We’ll be at CAMP SITE 4 on the map below.
Coming and Going - We’ll get things started on Saturday Sept 21st at 1 pm. You’ll want to bring lunch or eat before you come (plenty of options at the Shepherdsville exit). We’ll plan to be cleaned up, packed up, and ready to roll out Sunday morning by 10am. Obviously, you can leave earlier if you have Sunday stuff to get to (church, brunch, naps, whatever).
Food - The pack will provide some snacks for Saturday, along with dinner that night and breakfast on Sunday morning. We’ll have coolers for water and lemonade for the duration of the event. Please bring a reusable cup, water bottle, and coffee mug to use for the weekend (less trash and time spent cleaning up). While we have most of the food covered, you’ll probably want to bring some of your family favorites to enjoy as well.
What to Bring - Here’s a basic list of what you’ll want to bring for you and your family. There is a lake next to our camp site with hiking, fishing, etc., so you’ll want to bring an extra pair of shoes and clothes for you and your kids to change into. Of course, feel free to bring anything else you think your family may need (better to cover all the bases!).

What NOT To Bring - While there’s plenty to bring, Crooked Creek also has policies about what we should NOT bring with us as well. No smoking, vaping, alcohol or drug use is allowed. Personal pets and fireworks are also not allowed on site.
Safety - As with any other cub scout meeting, we want to keep your kids safe at the camp out. Per BSA guidelines, we practice two-deep leadership when doing anything with our scouts. That means, there should never be a time when your child is alone with a single adult (unless it’s you with your own children). If we’re going on a hike, there needs to be at least two adults. This extra layer of accountability is for the safety of our scouts, parents, and leaders.
